Morning Musume Rankings

As promised, the seperate (because Morning Musume are totally seperate from the Kids, and we need to keep it that way, yes, yes) ranking of H!P's flagship group~

1. Ai

Anyone who knows me knows this is a foregone conclusion. My first exposure to Morning Musume was Love Machine, and then Aruiteru, the then current single. And as soon as the opening screen of that MV appeared, I wondered "Who is that phenomenally pretty girl, why wasn't she in Love Machine, and how awesome is her voice?" Yes, among all of Morning Musume, from the moment I saw her, Tettekette was my instant favourite and has remained there for a year and a half now. This girl is gorgeous, like, make me a lesbian gorgeous. Not that I would. Obviously.

Her voice is incredibly beautiful. Some criticise it as too commercial, and that Miki is the real top vocal talent. Bullshit, anyone who has heard "Yume Kara Samete" knows Ai's voice can completely convert to something emotive and amazing. That's my favourite ballad in forever, bar none, and best yet, it wasn't written by Tsunku! Does this mean Ai-chan, whenever she does graduate, could go down the original Country Musume/V-u-den path and have her debut written by someone other than the T man? Could this mean that, unlike V-uden, her sales may not be killed by a man who seems incapable of keeping his sales constant for groups, and clearly has no clue what to even do with soloists?

But now I'm wandering into serious debate area here. Back to spazz~

She's a pretty solid dancer. I mean, okay, she's not one of the Second Gen., she's no Ogawa or Eri, but she pretty much brings it live, plus she has all that ballet practice. And despite all that crap about her not being "leader material", she's really proving herself to be efficient in the role. She's a different kind of leader, but she has stepped up, and though she's no Yuko, she's already showing herself to be at least as adept as Yossie, and maybe even better than Kaori? (BLASPHEMY! I know)

But any discussion of Ai-chan just wouldn't be complete unless we wandered into personality territory. Okay, fair enough, she's never been, nor never will be, Mari or Kei or Kaori. (even with Mini Moni grooming) She's not that great of a talker, and she admits that. But a lot of the detractors like to forget; she is amusing in her own little weird way. The 500 Yen coin collection? Sure, it was a dead end conversation topic, but it was hilarious in it's own way. Her inability to communicate on Utaban with her accent? Priceless. And lest we forget, the truly memorable, Hoppi de Hoppu, one of Utaban's best moments for my money. Not bad for a girl with no personality, hmm?

Wow I wrote a lot. But then, I really do adore the Takitty~ Don't worry, the others shouldn't be this mammoth @_@ (But they will be longer than the kids ones! Because Morning Musume should not be put on the same level as the kids! XD )

2. Eri

Love the girl~ As is evident from a few of my Berryz and C-ute choices, I keep a pretty good balance in my favourites between partial center girls and the background ones. It's been Eri's unfortunate (very unfortunate!) fate thusfar to remain in the background. Fair enough, she was placed in a generation with Reina and Miki, so being star of 6th gen was never going to be easy. But the way she's been ignored thusfar has been, frankly, disgusting.

She's got a nice vocal range, perhaps better and less irritating than Reina's to my ear, but that's just me. Everytime she contributes to a song (usually, you know, one line) she brings something special. An obvious example being the majorly popular "dakedo ne ne dakedo"'s and "daraka ne ne daraka"'s of the recent "Resonant Blue". Another nice pick is "Oh nai nai nai~" is "Kotatsu no uta ~Jyuken Story~". She just has one of those voices, perfectly suited for hooks. Unfortunately, the only time I've ever noticed her take anything near lead was on "Go Girl! ~Koi no Victory~" b-side "Koi ING" (Not that is a bad thing, it's one of Momusu's best mid-tempo songs dontcha know)

But her real talent, it has to be said, is her dancing. Eri pwns dancing. And anyone who has seen her dance to "Shabdondama" at "Odore! Morning Curry" knows what I'm talking about.

3. Aika

I'm happy to admit; Aika isn't the best singer; far from it, she's one of the weakest links in the Morning Musume chain. She's not that strong a dancer, sure. She's not even that utterly amusing to watch. So why then do I like Aika? Well, she was the first member to be added while I was a fan. I felt like, in many ways, with her debuting on "Egao YES Nude" the first single I bought, not only was she starting out on her Momusu journey, but we were starting out on it, together. Like 8th Gen. was, to some kind of extent, my generation. Sure I'd seen what all the other gen's used to be like and how they developed, but I wasn't there for that. Aika, I've been with since the beginning and I feel some kind of connection, a respect, a familiarity, an empathy as a result of that. Is that a common occurence for people with their first new generation, or am I just being weird?

Anyways, i'm wandering into proper dicussion territory once again. Aika has a lot of charm; she's pretty cutesy pie-ish, her old grandmother voice is amusing to a point. I just like the girl, what can I say?

4. JunJun

Well, my 8th Gen. connection comes into play here again. I have a natural affinity from that alone to the Panda, if nothing else. But hell, I like JunJun. She seems to have a voice that, while nothing spectacular, is pretty solid, and with the number of reliable singer slowly dwindling, you have to give her some props for that. I really love her crazy eyes in "Onna ni Sachi Are"; I think maybe that's what gave her a place over LinLin for me.

She's just doing her own thing, carving her own little niche, and I like that. She loves them bananas. XD It's nice to have a member with such a clear attachment to a physical thing again, whether positive or negative; like Rika and the chickens, or Nacchi and..... anything basically. (I mean, did anything not make her scream or whine in her time in Morning Musume?) Hopefully Tsunku will see the tall one spotential and start bringing her forward soon.

5. LinLin

Again, the 8th Gen. connection is helping her out here, but honestly, I can't really fault LinLin on anything as of yet. She seems to have charm, she's capable with the Japanese language, or at least moreso than JunJun. Her voice shows so much potential if she would stop applying that crappy whine cutesy thing that has ruined Reina's singing for years! DX Honestly, what happened to her "Thanks!" voice in that vocal training session, and will they please bring it back? If I have one qualm with her, it's that.

6. Risa

This is the point where we leave liking territory behind in a similar way to Risako in Berryz. (Risa and Risako! What an interesting coincidence! Maybe I have something against names involving r, i, s and a. ) Risa only serves to annoy me most of the time. She's loud and crass and brash and slightly annoying. Her forehead is probably her biggest attribute. Literally. But there's just nothing interesting about her to me.

7. Reina

(Look, r, i and a. Maybe I really do have a subconscious thing going on o.o ) To me Reina... I could like her. Potentially. I used to, when she was nearer the background. I have liked songs she led in the past, the likes of "Shabondama" and "First Kiss". But that was all early, yankii Reina, with the pouty attitude. Since then, Reina sold her soul to UFA, and Tsunku (cause ya know the guy probably is the devil) and allowed herself to be idolized, removing so much of her unique charm for stupid winks and obvious attempts at being cute that only serve to make her fake and annoying in my book. Her voice is fair, but as mentioned in LinLin's section, she's applied this method of singing to it that just irritates me. I'd far prefer Eri's similarly high, but real tones to Reina's falsely affected cutesy ones.

8. + 9. Those other two

Oh yes. The Pinku twins. A.K.A the most irritating thing to happen in H!P history ever. Ever. Really, they're listed as one person in my book, rather than two, so there's no real distinction between 8 and 9, except maybe for the fact that Koharu may yet learn to sing, while with Sayumi, really, that ship has long since sailed even if she had had some kind of natural aptitude for it. Sayumi is cute, but she's too aware of this, and she's pretty self absorbed. Ditto Koharu. Minus being cute. She just thinks she is.

But for Koharu, I suppose, there could be the potential there for me to like her. I don't despise "Balalaika" or "Happy" despite who sings them. I admire her ability to sell, even if I don't like her personally. I think it's cool she's always dreamed of being an idol and the reason she's so perma-happy is that she's living her dream. She's an ultra spazz, so that could almost be plus points.

But then we come back to this Miracle member thing. If anyone, ever, was a Miracle member, it happened back in 5th gen., with Ai, or hell, to be fair and honest, 3rd Gen., with Goto Maki. Not some, can barely sing, can barely dance, kind of ugly no hoper from the 7th Gen. I'm getting really tired of having her shoved into our faces in every single and in more and more units. Charmy had the same happen to her, but thats because she was popular to start out with. For Koharu, it's management favouritism, trying to build up her popularity to match this idiotic idea of a Miracle, and the sad thing is, I think it might be working for a lot of people. Tell a lie often enough, and people will believe it.

I could like her if she wasn't being over promoted. But she is. To an extreme.

Well there's that labour of love done ^^; And just one little Suju Factoid to round off and take the edge off the hatering above. Shiwon of Super Junior recently listed the highlight of hsi life as singing YMCA. So I think it's fair to assume he really is gay now~ 8D

H!P Kids Rankings

To get the ball rolling fully on this particular blog, I decided to rerun the old Hello Blog poll, to get images of my favourites in the H!P groups, to give you a rough idea of who I'm fangirling for, and who I really couldn't give two fricks about, in a similar way to my Super Junior one. And, I really need to get this clear in my head, since it's been such a while since I actually did this that half my rankings have changed. I've only done the H!P Kids in this post as I think they need to be distanced from Morning Musume, because the more we compare them, the more they appear on the same level, and I feel like a certain amount of hierarchy must be maintained. Plus I'm just a lazy bitch who got tired after writing fifteen member reviews. Anyways~

Let's start with the Berryz:

1. Miyabi

It just can't be denied; I'm a talent worship sort of a girl when it comes to my girl groups, and Miyabi, to me, is the most vocally talented in the group right about now. She was at the forefront ever since I got into the fandom and watched her in "Munasawagi Scarlet", far and away the most enjoyable to watch for me. Her voice is pretty versatile, she's a lot of fun on stage, and she really seems to have a different image and aura around her than most of the other H!P Kids.

Plus, her chin deserves a fan section all of it's own. Awesome.

2. Maasa

One of the background girls (or back up dancers, whichever you prefer) Maasa is to me, an unappreciated gem. She's unique looking, her voice is sort of odd, she dances kinda weird, she just doesn't fit in visually. In otherwords, Maasa is the oddball of the H!P kids, and for that, I love her. She looks like the kinda girl who could deck you easy, and the fact that she actually lists her strong point as "I'm strong" is just too brilliant. She's come a long way since she debuted, and though she hasn't really been near centre since "Anata Dewa Nashi Ikite Yukanai", I'm still supporting her all the way.

3. Momoko

Maybe I just have a thing for weirdoes, I dunno, but Momoko is, all at once, the most idol-esque of Berryz (or, that is, the most naturally cute) and the genuinely weirdest of them at the same time. She doesn't smile right. She doesn't talk right. She doesn't sing right. She can't even run right. (Although her run is naturally hilarious, no questions about it) She has this blatant weirdness, even stronger than Maasa's, except somehow Momoko weasled her way into becoming a centre girl, and it's just amazing. She's funny, charming, and, when put next to Airi and Miyabi in Buono!, she still, miraculously, comes out on top. Plus, in that old Berryz relationship chart thing, she actually listed that she was "using" some of the other girls. I love when a bitch admits to being a bitch.

4. Saki

I can't quite explain why I like Saki. Maybe it's just that I have a natural affinity for the leaders. Maybe her underappreciated singing. Maybe her kick ass dance skills, that put her way above any other dancer the project has ever had, for the simple reason that she actually did a dance solo. Maybe she just has likeable charisma. Who knows?

5. Risako

This at the point at which my liking of the members dwindles into more of a unmoved area either way. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Risako. But something about her isn't clicking with me; it could be over exposure. (In a similar way to how that affects my opinions of Airi in C-ute, and Koharu in Morning Musume) I mean, she does already have three photobooks, while some, almost as popular but not quite, Kids, the likes of Saki and Erika, are crying out for such releases since they're, you know, far nearer legal than this 14 year old. I used to have a certain affinity for her, going back again to "Munasawagi Scarlet" and my first exposure to Berryz again, I liked her voice and her "Mm~ Yes my love"'s. But since then, I've found very little that I particularly like about Risako. But this could just be me and my prejudice against most center whores.

6. Yurina

She's...... tall. That's all I know about her. Otherwise she just seems....boring. Her voice sounds half asleep, and on stage she looks half asleep. She's not noticeable. I don't hate her, but I'm barely aware of her existence. Apart from the fact that she's very very tall. And unless you're into tall people, or are tall yourself (which I'm not) and have an affinity to other such giants, I find very little likeability in that.

7. Chinami

She's super genki, and can be interesting to watch, particularly in the "Dschinghis Kahn" mv. But I dunno, I've never liked her, and I don't think I ever will. She doesn't shine particularly in singing or dancing, she's not overly pretty, she's not all that unique, she's not all that cute. What is she contributing? What's her purpose? I know that she has her fans, but i just amn't capable of seeing the appeal.

Non-Starter. Maiha

Uh.......who?

0. Megumi

Okay, so she's not in C-ute anymore, or even part of the Project anymore, but god damn it, if there was a better H!P kids than Megumi Murakami, I have yet to see her. She pwned everyone in ZYX, really, so lets just state that outright. Megumi's voice was unique, but developing into something strong and feisty, and when placed with Miyabi and Miki in Sexy Otonajyan for the 2005 shuffles, she proved more than capable of handling her voice against two very strong vocal talents, and managed not only to not get upstaged, but to prove that the Kids were fast catching up on the H!P big hitters in terms of talent. She was the best dancer in H!P, bar none; she gave everything into each performance, particularly that one where she does back up for "Daite Yo! Please Go On" for Gomaki, and that performance of "Massara Blue Jeans" at Saitama. She owned basically all of C-ute's indie singles. And can you imagine how good she would have been on something like "Tokaikko Junjou"?If there was one girl who has graduated ever, that I would bring back if I had the chance, it would be Megu. So I'll end the fangirl rant here ><;

1. Chisato

Who would have predicted that one of the girls brought in to be cutie-pies (along with MaiMai and Saki) would actually turn out to have vocal talent? Chisato seems to be trying to model herself vocally on Miki, and really, if there's someone in H!P you should look up to, vocally, there's not that many better than Mikitty. The unfortunate fact is, she's probably fast becoming one of the most talented Kids vocally, but with Airi and Maimi, and to some extent MaiMai and Saki forming the top two/four group (in a similar fashion to the Risako, Miyabi, Momoko and Yurina combo of berryz) she's finding it hard to find a place to sing in the singles. But she more than proves she's capable of being a center girl on "Homerare Nobiko no Theme Kyoku" on C-ute's latest album. time will tell if she'll be allowed to come to the forefront or not.

2. Saki

While Chisa was the girl who developed vocally, Saki seemed to go more down the dance route. Not that there's anything wrong with that; since Megumi's departure, it seems the two Saki's are the ones competing for the best dancer position, and both are doing a good job. She's nothing special vocally, but she's one of the girls who really brings all her energy and charisma on stage, and I love someone who can genuinely bring it live.

3. Erika

Had you asked me a few months ago, which H!P Kid would you push off a cliff, I would have found it really, extremely easy to answer. Erika has always pretty much been the one that I hate, with a passion. She's kind of ugly. Not unique looking, like Momoko or Maasa. Ugly. Like interbred with a camel ugly. Her singing wasn't that special to me, she never danced particularly well to my eyes. She was lacking sparkle, I guess. Then "Do Don Ga Don Ondou" happened, and I saw the light. She really does have talent. She's still nothing great to look at, but her solo has provided me with some kind of understanding of what she brings to the table. She does have some charm, and once you discover it, you can see your way into liking her. I guess that;s what happened to me.

4. MaiMai

So yeah, this is where conscise comments fly out the door. (And I can hear you all crying, what concise comments Nic Well I did try making some u_u -sigh-Forget it. I should stick to spazz ) SHE'S SO CUUUUUUTE~ She looks like a little doll. So she doesn't really sing well, or dance that well. She's basically a midget. She wore sunglasses twice the size of her face in the first few indie mvs for no apparent reason. But I love her!

5. Maimi

She was in ZYX, so points for that. (As you'll notice, none of the ZYX members bear the brunt of any of my hate anymore. I used to dislike Erika, so I just pretended she didn't exist in the two ZYX mv's, but since that hates all over, everyone involved in ZYX gets bonus points 8D Ghetto whore H!P Kids + Mari FTW!) But again, she's a center girl. And her voice is kind of.... okay, very limited. She's pretty. She has a good solo. She's a good dancer. She's an all rounder. But nothing stands out, particularly. Decidedly average.

6. Kanna

She's an egg! AHAHAHA! That will always be all over her, like the stench of dead babies. She makes some awesomely awful bad smell faces a lot of the time. Her voice shows potential, but it isn't really coming out fully. There were a lot of extremely talented, undebuted eggs at the time she was added (-cough-MaedaIroriOgawaSakiFukudaKanonKitaharaSayaka-cough-) and yet she was the one who was plucked from relative obscurity to become C-ute member number eight, the only person to be added to the original H!P kids line up. Why? What is so special about the gremlin faced one?

7. Airi

Oh Airi. I know I could love you. Really I could. Even with you rapidly expanding chin. I didn't let that affect my Miyabi love~ You were simple awesome back in that Aa! days, I admit. Your high notes on "First Kiss" and your wavering vocals on "Masayume" still send quivers down my back. But since then, what have you done, really? Sure, Airi sings lead. She started out as one of the most vocally promising of the Kids, but she's barely progressed, and a lot of the others have caught up on her. It's funny; she went from head talent to mediocre, while Chisato, Miyabi, Erika, hell even Risako, worked up the vocal ladder. I'm tired of watching all the other girls dance around in a circle around Airi. I'm tired of her having to be spammed on every single. I'm tired of Airi being pushed in my face to the point I can't stand it. I know I could like her, if she wasn't so damn over-promoted, at the expense of the likes of Chisato and Erika. But she is. That's life.

So that's that. And to give you and all round picture, here's how I rate the girls when the groups are mixed:

1. Megumi

2. Miyabi

3. Chisato

4. Maasa

5. Momoko

6. Saki Nakajima (C-ute)

7. Erika

8. MaiMai

9. Saki Shimizu (Berryz Koubou)

10. Maimi

11. Risako

12. Yurina

13. Chinami

14. Kanna

15. Maiha

16. Airi

Super Junior: Thoughts On Future Subgroups (With H!P References Strewn Throughout)

Just some thoughts, with all the M stuff going on right now, and of course the rumours that T are gonna be getting an album:

I decided to make mah own 8D

Super Junior A

The A being as in Anime, although not specifically attached to any anime. (But oh my god, a Super Junior anime, why hasn't this happened? Some of them are basically anime characters already, all you have to do is colour them in XD ) More to the style of anime music. I know in a lot of cases this is generic pop rock, but hold with me on this one; anime music is very easy to sing, which is exactly why it's an ideal genre to set Teuk towards, where he can show off his vocals without being overshawdowed by anybody more vocally talented he may end up with. RyeoWook has a very fun, upbeat voice when he uses it right, and it would suit an anime styled song. Shi rounds out the group by taking the lower register and being the slightly more sane straight man, which every group needs.

In an ideal world, their debut single would be something to the tune of:
V-u-den - Koisuru Angel Heart (with Teuk taking Rika's lead part)
Buono! - Renai Rider (and the thought of Shiwon doing Momoko's parts in the later really makes me lol, srsly)

Super Junior A (uh.... again. Well what, it's my vision, I can do as I like. )

This A being as in Adult. Now I know we have KRY full on covering the ballads department, but what about serious songs that aren't ballads? In the styling on say, Tanpopo from Morning Musume? (First and Second gen, none of that third generation happy crap for these boys) KangIn is in there to show of his vocals, EunHyuk to sing for once, instead of rapping~ Geng, I feel, needs to be given the chance to sing more in mid tempo stuff. Much as I dislike Marry U, his lines really did sound great. And to round things off, ShinDong. I know that this is a weird choice, but I just want to hear the boy sing, just once, please. Also, I think it's very rare for ShinDong to get to show off a more serious side to his personality; he's usually group clown (an achievement in Super Junior) I'd like for him to get to show off a more serious side once in a while. The reason I put Kyu a little seperate from the other's is I'm not 100% sure I'd want him there, but I think one more strong vocal needs to be included to make them group viable in that sense. An emo group, if you will

In an ideal world, their debut single would be something to the tune of:
Tanpopo - Last Kiss (The thought of KangIn's voice on this song actually sends shivers down my back. It would probably be SO good )
Girls Aloud - Call The Shots ( KyuHyun would have to take Nadine's parts, obviously)

Super Junior D/L (Or OTP even 8D )

D as in Duo, L as in love, D/L as in download since I can't see SM ever releasing something by this pair in hard copy :/ Stick with me here, it's not just fangirling~ Shi and Han's voices actually do off set each other nicely. They're not the most vocally talented pair, but it's certainly better than a ShiChul or, god forbid, a HanChul duet. It woulddn't even have to be a romantic song to each other, I mean, look a Fly to the Sky. I don't know if either really has what it takes to go solo music wise, but their joint talents definitely makes them a marketers dream.

In an ideal world, their debut single would be something to the tune of:
Gam - Thanks! (If they could get Shi to dance to this, it would be KICK ASS )
GAM - Melodies
J & HowL - Perhaps Love ( 8D )
Haru Beautiful Everyday - Morning Musume
C-ute - Tokaikko Junjou (Simply cause I love the frickin song)

Super Junior J

J as in... Junior. Yes Super Junior Junior XD As you can see, the four youngest members are above and, over all, it's a pretty appealing group vocally (Well, apart from KiBum, but doesn't there always have to be a dud in almost every group or something? >_> ) Anyways, the diea of just making a ghroup out of the yung'uns and making it fun and all, I think that's something that needs to be done. And as you can see, with KR present, it's more than viable.

In an ideal world, their debut single would be something to the tune of:
Morning Musume - Suki na Senpai
Morning Musume - Lemon Iro to Milk Tea
Berrys Koubou - Special Generation

Super Junior J ( :/ I dunno what the hell is up with mine all being the same letters. Maybe I need to be more creative)

J as in Japan 8D Well they have to go there eventually~ I see no reason for their not being another sub unit. Shiwon is there because there's never enough Shiwon in the world. Yeh, as the only KRY member who didn't get into M, gets his shot here. Hyuk and Teuk, in this imaginary circumstance, are obviously no longer involved in Sukira. HeeChul involved because lets face it, he'd probably go crazy if he didn't get to go to Japan. All those shows, with all his favourite J-rockers~ To round out the group, a newbie: Inaba Hikaru from Johnny's Juniors. I just want this boy to debut quick. He's so pretty, he's like a Japanese version of Shi :/

In an ideal world, their debut single would be something to the tune of:
Uh...... Super Junior - U (Again? Makes sense to me anyways. )

PV Review: Resonant Blue - Morning Musume

Okay, before I rant on the simple fact that this PV was, in fact, just one continuous dance shot, with the only focus being on Ai, Reina and Koharu, allow me to say one thing:

Who knew something as simple as someone pointing could come off so cool?

Sexiest Opener Ever 8D

Damn, Aika, when the hell did you turn twenty? Looking so mature already~ LinLin doesn't look bad either, but seriously, for those few seconds, Aika owns this PV, and for a, what, fifteen year old, is pretty damn sexy.

Ew

The same however, can not be said for a certain supposed "Miracle" member.

Ew

Omg, someone stop her. Before she breaks something. Like my brain.

Ew

I mean, whose idea was this? Does she actually think what she's doing is sexy? D: It's sickening

Ew

My stomach may never recover from the shovelling of Koharu in this PV

AND SHE SINGS ALL OF TWO LINES! WTH? Why is she spammed when Reina and Ai basically own the song vocally?

Eri - Just about there

Ah Eri. There you are, as ever, fighting for your screen time and dancing like the dance fiend you so clearly are. Vocally, you're as good as Reina to me, and yet you barely exist in this PV. I fear it is your destiny to become one of the forgotten Musume, along with Asuka, Ishiguro, Kei Yasuda and Makoto :< But dance on Eri~ You're "dakedo, ne ne, dakedo"'s completely make this song for me.

Swooooop~

Oh my >> Did I just see what I think I saw << A Morning Musume dance break, in which the dance looks interesting, together and .... almost.... dare I say..... cool. Naturally Ai is front and center :3 That's my girl~ I'm all for campaigning for the little members, but it's so undeniable she's the leader, in every sense of the word of this group, so she's deserving of screentime. Unlike some people:

Ew

Damn, I looked at it again D:

Help Me!!

I'm not a Sayumi fan but: YOU GO SAYUMI! PUSH THOSE CENTER BITCHES OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT TO GET YOUR SCREEN TIME! 8D

She's screaming Help Me! She's asking us to get her the screen time D: Poor girl~

Fin

And thus ends this this PV, which was all in all, just a dance shot, which still pisses me off. Where's the variety~? u.u

Pv Review: U - Super Junior M

After watching it four times, I had only taken down two things to screencap and two to GIF. Shows how bad I am at estimating, really. I expect an F in maths. But then I say that every post these days~ Anyways, on to spazz! 8D

To open a new MV for a new subgroup, that's kind of boring and staticy, don't you think? I mean maybe that's just me. But the most important thing to me about this opening was this; it immediately established who center was. It's like, anyone with a half a brain who watched those first three seconds would know, straight away, Geng's center, and this makes me a very very happy fangirl. However I had to rewatch it, just to see something

Is it just me, or did Shiwon just rub his hand up his leg there? I mean, I have no problem with that, if I was him I'd be touching myself all the damn time.... maybe not on film, but whatever floats his boat.

This could of course, have just been my imagination, considering how dark that section is, it's almost impossible to tell. But he continued touching himself later in the mv.... but more on that later ^___^

Just how Michael Jackson was that?

I'm not sure how to feel about the remix quite yet. It seems to me like they've tried to lean toward an even more American version, Timbaland style, which is, you know, great and all, considering the man sells like nobodies business, but it also leaves everything feeling kind of samey and like we've heard it before. Evem Timbaland can't do Timbaland well most of the time. ( -cough- Give It To Me -cough- ) What led SM producers to believe they'd do any better?

It also seems to have... de-intensified the song somehow, like the original had more drama, or at least as much drama as a four minute pop song can have. But there's also a new, more techno-y melody introduced, adding another hook, and more hooks are always good really. And some of it really makes me think of the nineties. Anyone else get that, or is it just me being crazy? (Edit a Day later: I decided in the end that this version pwns the original in the end. )

Anyways, enough of me trying to make concise, interesting comments. I promised spazz. ON TO THE SPAZZ 8D

I had to go back and watch this like three times after I made the first GIF, just to watch Zhoumi do that again and again and again. If Mi had contributed nothing else to this MV, this would be more than entertaining enough for me to justify his presence 8D

7 seconds in, and Appa and Umma (looking far sexier than Kangteuk I might add) are officially established. Thank you editors.

Then we get treated to three of the best beauty shots ... like ever.

And I never thought I'd say that about Kyu, but god damn, black and white suits him~

OMG, DID I JUST SEE HENRY'S FACE? -flails- He has such a baby face, seriously, I wanna pinch his cheeks~

While the opening established Geng as center, I think this was the moment he was made obvious as the leader. You know how when Teuk punches the ground in Don't Don? Yeah, like that~

Can someone please explain to me why the make up artists and lighting people decided to make Shi look like he was on the verge of death in a lot of his close up shots? His skin looks really unhealthy and you should not do that to pretty boys :/ And why is he looking so skinny too? His face is so narrow!

Oh for fucks sakes. When we cleared ten seconds and there was as of yet no appearance of a woman, I thought we were safe. Who the hell is this? When I saw this, I could only wonder whether she'd have any real purpose in the MV, or whether she'd end up like Yeonhee and YoonA, completely useless. I know, I know, silly me. OF COURSE she was gonna end up like that. She's worse than both of them. She wishes she could be YoonA, who wishes she coul be YeonHee. If Yeonhee failed at making things less homosexual, I doubted random!girl could do any better and she really didn't.

To make any SuJu mv a Suju mv, I feel if Shiwon is involved, you need at least three solid seconds of him as a tall, awkward dancer to really make it feel complete. Like that bit of him over exaggerating the hip movement in Dancing Out, or when he points into the air for Don't Don for his line, or how he bounces into position in U. As soon as I saw this, I felt a certain sense of aw~ home come over me :3 He appears to be counting in his head from his expression. Bless.

As I said earlier, the Shi thing to do in this MV is let him touch himself and what better way to do that than give him a mirror 8D Cause lets face it, no matter how sexy a person is, they're never quite gonna be Shi worthy, so the boy should be just left alone to make out with himself in the mirror like the genetic freak of nature he so clearly is. Preferably with a camera running to catch the entire thing.

Suddenly I'm craving Shi/Shi fic. Bad Nic, bad. -slaps self-

It was clear from this point on, to me at least, that Geng was gonna own this entire thing. And indeed he did. He just kept owning and owning and owning...

.... and owning and owning and owning...

I think I finally figured out just what my problem with RyeoWook is. While most of you probably see the above when you look at him...

I see this. Not that I have any problem with Ralph Fiennes (or, for that matter, Lord Voldemorte) But honestly, the snake look just isn't pretty to me. And Wook has it in bucketloads.

I'm still so undecided about this guy. One second I love him, the next not, the next I love him again. :/ I mean, he gets immediate major points for just being ShiHan baby, but he just doesn't seem to quite know what to do with those incredible genes. But make blowjob faces. Which he does in this mv, I noticed. Abundantly.

Guh. He makes blinking so damn sexy *_* Makes you wonder what's going through his head. 8D This maybe:

I am so so glad they decided to make use of the ab flash beautful jump for the video. Because that's the kind of thing that should really be present for.... uh... how acrobatic and talented it makes Geng look 8D

OMG! DID I JUST HEAR HENRY SING?! (in case you can't guess, this was my general reaction to... anything Henry did in this mv basically )

I don't know what Kyu is trying to do with his neck there, nor do I remotely care. Somehow, in the midst of this MV making, baby turned into a man and started radiating awkward sexy~ Speaking of which

It's always just so nice to watch Shi dance in the background. :3 -sigh-

Oh yeah, definitely Shiwon's child~ But he still has absolutely no clue what to do with it.

...and owning and owning and owning...

.... and owning and owning and owning....

Oh yeah, he just blew everything else the other's could possibly do right out of the water. That dance solo FUCKING OWNED. Every moment in Suju history. EVER. The gif doesn't even do it justice~ Go watch it again, right now. Fuck this spazz post, go watch it again for a while and just bask.

Back? Okay. I'll just note at this point what a bitch of an MV this was to GIF. Its too dark at some sections and I swear to god, the camera never stops moving for even a second.

And oh look they pulled out Henry's violin again. Surprise! ¬_¬ But really, the big surprise was that, with this remix, it fits in pretty damn well~ Kudos to the producers for that I guess.

I love how Han is totally about to kick random!girl in the face in this 8D But more seriously, what the fuck is that scene even about?

Ugh~ I dislike the girl even more, but really what makes me o.o right here is Shiwon's expression. Is that meant to be adoring? Cause really, his entire stance is just "Don't make me hit you with a two by four bitch."

Also, Han's hand is totally reaching for Shi there, not her. Just to inject some more SiHan into proceedings :3

There's something so singularly camp about this dance move, in the same way that say, John Travolta's disco dance moves had a serious touch of camp to them. I just came through my teeth there, a little.

... and owning and owning and owning...

I love how he knows how damn sexy he is in that little smirk. He's so aware of his pwnage, what he's doing to like, everyone watching and he's enjoying it. HanKyung is the devil, but a sexy devil, so it's forgiveable.

Another thing that no SJ mv should be without. Especially with ShiHan front and center.

OMG, IT'S HENRY SINGING "STOP"! (I love that it is actually spelled "cuz I can't " in the subs, by the by) I know this seems like such a pointless thing to GIF, but throughtout the MV, I had been trying to decide who it was Henry was reminding me of, and then I finally figured it out: YOOCHUN! No? No? I dunno, he seriously looks like Micky to me somehow. But I like Henry better obviously.

Also, I love his rat teeth. Just cause.

Okay, wth with making Shi look so evil in this Mv? Admittedly, sexy evil, but that's a given~ First he's a zombie, then woman beater, and now he looks like the kind of guy you wouldn't want to ..... actually scratch that. Of course you'd want to meet Shiwon in a dark alleyway. Silly Nic.

ShinDong makes his presence on the choreography felt. He's there in spirit. Possibly the most retarded thing I have ever seen, EVER, but I intend to GIF it from lives multiple times and just make a spam post of those alone. I can't believe that most of them actually manage to do that with a straight face. At least Shiwon has the decency to look down. Or maybe he just felt the need to look at himself again.

Really, I can't emphasize this enough: If Han wasn't being such an effective pwner, Kyu would own this damn thing. I never even found him that attractive before, certainly not with his black hair at least, and now I'm all creamy all over him >_>

And a little more of Shi sexing himself in the mirror.

And then Geng being gorgeous again, just to remind you, in case you needed it, that no matter how good looking Shi or Kyu or anyone else may be, or how well they do in this video, they're all Geng's bitches in the end.

So how do I feel about this MV? I felt the need to ask myself this. I guess I was feeling that there was an absence of something, that I was just expecting more, but after the huge ass build up, I suppose it's only to be expected. Like I said, Han owned the damn thing. Shi was forgettable, despite being well featured, and thoroughly sexual. Kyu and Wook both shone in good ways, Henry and Zhoumi established themselves. Hae was overly present and so is not present in this review. Yay bias :3
